Our Mulateiro Rapé is made with Mulateiro ashes, a tree also known as Pau Mulato (Calycophyllum spruceanum).

Hapé is a sacred shamanic snuff medicine traditionally used by several Amazonian tribes, including the Katukina, Yawanawa, Kaxinawa, Nukini, Kuntanawa, Apurinã, Ashaninka, and Matses. Each tribe produces its own unique blend and has distinct preparation methods, often accompanied by specific rituals and songs. All of our Hapé’s are ethically sourced from indigenous people and intentionally produced with the wisdom, intentions, and prayers of their humble shamans that want to continue living in harmony with our Mother Earth. Made from various medicinal plants, hapé serves multiple purposes such as inducing visions, boosting energy, and enhancing the senses with its aromatic fragrance. The recipes for these blends are often closely guarded secrets within the tribes. Sharing hapé is a ritualistic practice that involves specific chants to activate its healing power, conferring the forest's energy to the recipient. This practice has been introduced to the West through ayahuasca ceremonies by traveling shamans and visitors who have spent time with indigenous communities.

To ensure your rapé remains potent store it in a cool, dry, and dark place. Keep it tightly sealed to protect it from moisture. Avoid storing rapé in the refrigerator, as condensation can form inside the container when taken out, potentially compromising its quality.

Hapé is traditionally applied using a bamboo or bone tube, gradually blown into both nostrils. There are two primary methods for administering Hapé: self-application using a V-shaped tube called a Kuripe with one end inserted into the mouth and the other into the nostril, and application by another person using a Tepi where one end is inserted into the giver's mouth and the other into the recipient's nostril.
For beginners, it is advised to start with a small amount, roughly the size of a pea for each nostril. With continued use, the dosage can be gradually increased. It is best to apply Hapé in a quiet, sacred space where you won't be disturbed, possibly with sacred music in the background. Sit upright, either cross-legged or on a chair, with eyes closed, and take slow, calm breaths after administration.
Hapé use is at your own risk. Generally, Hapé helps to align and open your chakras, enhances grounding, releases physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual ailments, opens the third eye, decalcifies the pineal gland, clears mental confusion, dispels negative thoughts and entities, and strengthens your connection with your divine breath and Spirit.
Post-application, you might experience cleansing reactions like nausea, bowel movements, or increased saliva. These reactions indicate the release of blocked energy, toxins, and diseases from your body. Keep a bucket, toilet paper, and drinking water nearby.
